Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of the Airport provides oversight and leadership to the District. The Board is comprised of five members with various backgrounds, offering a wide range of experience and perspectives to every topic. Following are the current Board members as well as information about the election process.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District's Board of Directors typically meets in the Airport Terminal building, Board Room-A on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 4:30pm.

Board Meeting Information

Meetings of the Truckee Tahoe Airport District will be held on Wednesday,  August 26, 2020. Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20, these meeting will held exclusively via live web streaming.

Text message public comment can be made to the following number and will be read aloud during Public Comment sections of each agenda topic: (530) 205-8603 and/or email: David.VanQuest@truckeetahoeairport.com.
No action will be taken at the meeting on any business not appearing on the posted agenda except as permitted by Government Code Section 54954.2.
“All written public comments received by 4:30 pm the Tuesday before the regularly scheduled Board meeting will be posted on the District website and forwarded to District Board Members for their consideration at the meeting.” 


Election Process

Board members are voted into office for a 4 year term by public county election through Nevada and Placer Counties. Parties interested in running for office should contact the Placer County Elections Office or Nevada County Elections Office for election procedures and deadlines.

Director Hetherington has lived in Truckee since 1990. She has a consulting civil/environmental engineering business and has been involved with infrastructure projects since graduating from U.C. Berkeley. She treasures this region and is grateful for the people and the environment that make this community special.
