Project Description: Ongoing seasonal asphalt maintenance
Impacted Areas:
Airfield wide, both landside and airside. NOTAMS will be issued when work is scheduled in KTRK's movement areas (areas controlled by ATC, like runways and taxiways). Work in non-movement areas (ramps, hangar rows etc), will not affect pilot or tenant operations.

Project Description: Install new main service panel and rewire each hangar with individual breaker boxes.
Impacted Areas:
Short term individual hangar use disruption. Some stored items and even aircraft may need to be moved. Hangar tenants will be contacted individually if items or aircraft need to be moved.

TAXIWAY ALPHA

Project Estimated Completion Date: August 20, 2021
Project Description: The project entails reconstructing the asphalt Alpha parallel taxiway from the intersection with Echo (in front of the terminal building) going west to the run-up area for Runway 11. Taxiways Charlie and Delta will also be reconfigured. A new connector bridge between taxiways Quebec and Tango will be constructed.
Impacted Areas:
Taxiways A,C,D,E & T and the RWY 11 Run up. The western half of parallel taxiway Alpha will be closed. An alternate route will be designated for aircraft using hangars in Lima, Mike, November and Papa hangar rows on the new Quebec-Tango taxiway connector bridge, completed on June 11, 2021. Tower authorized back taxiing may be required at times on runway 11-29 during construction. RWY 11-29 may experience intermittent closures. Restrictions will be in place for aircraft with wingspans of 73' and greater. PILOTS CHECK NOTAMS for TRK/KTRK.

PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION HANGAR ROW LIMA AND TAXIWAY TANGO

Project Estimated Completion Date: Friday, October 9, 2020 (restriping scheduled for Oct 12, 2020, minimal tenant impact)
Project Description: Reconstruct ~57,600 sq.ft. of asphalt at hangar row Lima and taxiway Tango.
Impacted Areas: All hangars in rows Lima, Mike, November and Papa. Aircraft in these hangar rows will need to seek alternate parking on the ramp. Access to hangar row Lima will be foot traffic only. Vehicles stored in hangar row Lima will not be able to be moved. All tenants should plan accordingly. The TTAD board is expected to give final project approval at the September 23, 2020 meeting. Project Descriptions: Multiple asphalt construction projects around the airfield including: Repave a portion of Air Show Way by Gate 5, repave asphalt around the maintenance shop, repave and new paved area around the fuel farm, pave new walk path around Sierra Aero/Mtn Lion office building, new paved drive at non-profit container farm.
Impacted Areas: Short durations with redirected traffic when needed.

TRUCKEE AIRPORT ROAD SIDEWALK PROJECT

Project Description: Complete the southern most portion (~350 lf) of sidewalk on Truckee Airport Rd between, south of the Town of Truckee Offices and commercial businesses to the intersection with Hwy 267.
Impacted Areas: Minimal, project is on undeveloped areas of the road. May require intermittent traffic lane control.

RUNWAY 29 BLASTPAD

Project General Contractor: Meyers Earthwork, Inc.
Project Description: The project entails reconstructing the blastpad area (approach end) of Runway 29. A runway blastpad is a surface near the end of the runway provided to the reduce erosive effect of jet blast and prop wash on the surrounding surfaces. The area is typically covered by chevron markings.
Impacted Areas:

AIRCRAFT WASH RACK

Project Description: The project entails building an aircraft wash rack area with a runoff collection system. The wash rack will be located on the southeast side of the 100LL Self Serve fuel island.
Impacted Areas:
- South east corner of the self serve fuel island, with construction vehicle traffic around the airfield fire gate south of the fuel island, and on Chandelle Way.

CARE FLIGHT HELIPAD
COMPLETED: June 30, 2020
Project Start Date: Monday, May 4, 2020
Project Cost: $382,500. (FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and Truckee Tahoe Airport funds will be used to complete this project.)
Project General Contractor: Meyers Earthwork, Inc.
Project Completion Date: Friday, June 30, 2020 (8 week construction schedule)
Project Description: The project entails relocating and expanding the Care Flight helipad to the west side of the Care Flight office building and expanding the helipad to hold two helicopters simultaneously. A new fuel delivery system will also be included with this project.
Impacted Areas:
- Expect construction vehicle traffic, heavy at times, around the dirt area immediately to the west side of the Care Flight office building, at Gate 4, and the asphalt driveway/ramp area to the south side of hangar rows Juliette and Kilo.
- Vehicle traffic to and from hangar rows Lima, Mike, November and Papa will be diverted to the south side of the warehouse building in front of the Roundhouse Makerspace facility. The short connector road between Kilo and Lima hangar row tarmacs, (north side of Care Flight operations) is closed during construction.
