Project Description: Hangar roof reconstruction due to damaged caused from record snows Winter '22-'23. Project will start in Hotel row, hangars H5 thru H10. Next up will be D-E Rows. Stay tuned for schedule updates.
Impact Areas: Airfield hangar rows. No impact to taxilanes during reconstruction

SURROUNDING AIRFIELD GROUNDS FUELS REDUCTION & BOULDER REMOVAL

Project Description: Mastication of vegetative areas and boulder removal. On going year over year project. Purpose - expands emergency landing areas, keeps wildlife further away from runways, provides wildfire breaks and fuels reduction.
Impact Areas: Airfield grounds areas surrounding runways. *Caution: May create dusty events. Do not approach equipment while operating, there is a potential for flying rocks and debris.

Project Description: Fog sealing and striping multiple areas around the airfield
Impacted / Closed Airport Areas:
8 May (0800-0900L):
All runways will close for 1 hour for painting of the runway 02/20 & 11/29 intersection.
6-9 May (continuous):
RWY 02/20 will be closed for ‘fog sealing’ (sealing the entire runway surface).
Fog Seal will not fully dry during the nighttime; hence full 02/20 closure during this window.
13 May (0700-1900L):
Alpha-Hotel hangar row asphalt stripe painting.
This is a fast-drying paint, should be no more than 20 min delay in front of any hangars.
Ramp circles in front of terminal will also getting painted, same fast drying paint.
13-17 May (0700-1900L):
RWY 02/20 will close for painting daily.
Opened in the evenings/night

Project Description: Ongoing seasonal asphalt maintenance
Impacted Areas:
Airfield wide, both landside and airside. NOTAMS will be issued when work is scheduled in KTRK's movement areas (areas controlled by ATC, like runways and some taxiways). Work in non-movement areas (ramps, hangar rows, parking lots, etc), will not affect pilot or tenant operations.

Runway 02/20 Reconstruction

Project Description: Reconstruct Rwy 02/20 (same footprint 4,650' x 75') and replace lighting
Impacted / Closed Airport Areas: Runway 02/20, Taxiway Golf
RWY 02/20 Closed for Reconstruction July 24 - Nov 2023. All airport traffic using RWY 11/29. Historic afternoon winds will create x-winds on RWY 11/29, plan accordingly. Pilots check NOTAMS and exercise caution.
