Impacted Areas: Minimal, project is on undeveloped areas of the road. May require intermittent traffic lane control.

RUNWAY 29 BLASTPAD

Project Description: The project entails reconstructing the blastpad area (approach end) of Runway 29. A runway blastpad is a surface near the end of the runway provided to the reduce erosive effect of jet blast and prop wash on the surrounding surfaces. The area is typically covered by chevron markings.
Impacted Areas:

AIRCRAFT WASH RACK

Project Description: The project entails building an aircraft wash rack area with a runoff collection system. The wash rack will be located on the southeast side of the 100LL Self Serve fuel island.
Impacted Areas:
- South east corner of the self serve fuel island, with construction vehicle traffic around the airfield fire gate south of the fuel island, and on Chandelle Way.

CARE FLIGHT HELIPAD
COMPLETED: June 30, 2020

Project Completion Date: Friday, June 30, 2020 (8 week construction schedule)
Project Description: The project entails relocating and expanding the Care Flight helipad to the west side of the Care Flight office building and expanding the helipad to hold two helicopters simultaneously. A new fuel delivery system will also be included with this project.
Impacted Areas:
- Expect construction vehicle traffic, heavy at times, around the dirt area immediately to the west side of the Care Flight office building, at Gate 4, and the asphalt driveway/ramp area to the south side of hangar rows Juliette and Kilo.
- Vehicle traffic to and from hangar rows Lima, Mike, November and Papa will be diverted to the south side of the warehouse building in front of the Roundhouse Makerspace facility. The short connector road between Kilo and Lima hangar row tarmacs, (north side of Care Flight operations) is closed during construction.

WEST SIDE AIRFIELD RAMP/TAXILANE WIDENING

Project Description: This project entails widening ramp/taxilanes along the western perimeter of Papa hangar row, the eastern edge of November hangar row, and southern perimeter of Mike, November and Papa hangar rows by 12.5'. This project will also square off the far western corner of the ramp at the Lima hangar row. The ramp/taxilane widening projects will ease aircraft maneuverability, allow for safer wing tip clearances, and also help facilitate snow removal.
Impacted Areas:
- All work to be done off the asphalt surfaces, with minimal to no aircraft impact.

Maintenance Shop and Adjacent Generator Building Painting

Project Description: The project entailed, prepping, priming and painting the airport's metal clad maintenance shop and adjacent generator building on the corner of Chandelle Way and Aviation Way.
Impacted Areas:
- No public areas will be impacted. Easterbrook Painting, Inc. will divide the job into sections allowing airport staff uninterrupted 24-7 access to the maintenance shop building and adjacent generator building.

Project Description: Project involves cutting patterned expansion joints in existing asphalt taxilanes and filling with rubberized crack filler/sealer. This process extends the life of the asphalt.
Impacted Areas:
- During day light hours, (7am - 5pm) there will be intermittent day long hangar access restrictions to rows Juliet and Kilo.
- Care Flight helipad operations will temporarily be moved on a daily basis during impacted construction days.
- Vehicle access to hangars tenants in Lima, Mike, November and Papa may require temporary airfield access via the temporary gate in the warehouse parking lot. Follow traffic re-routing signs.

Impacted Areas:
- Terminal building east side parking lot will be closed, as well as Gate 7 by the playground for the week.
- Terminal building handicap parking, the receiving dock and the playground will remain open.
- Public parking will be condensed to the terminal west side parking lot with overflow on Chandelle Way if needed.
- Access to Sierra Aero, Mtn Lion, the tower, CAP and EAA will be thru Gate 5 (by the fire station and blast fence) via Air Show Way (road on south side of hangar rows Alpha thru Hotel)
* Caution yield to aircraft taxing on Air Show Way during construction.
* Caution construction vehicles will also be using Gate 5.
- The trench area will be temporarily patched until later in the taxiway Romeo project.

HANGAR 1 OFFICE BUILDING

Project Description: The project entails building a 1,920 sq ft office building to house: 2 offices, a reception desk, 2 bathrooms, a break room and a flight training room. In stage two of this project the 1960's era office space currently inside the hangar will be removed to expand hangar floor space to enable more planes to be under roof during maintenance service.
Impacted Areas:
- The dirt area on the west of Hangar 1.
- The Jetway Taxiway to the west of Hangar 1 will be closed during construction.
