Kat and her family moved to Truckee in 2006, eager to escape the Silicon Valley suburbs and to embrace the mountain lifestyle. Raising her kids was a full-time effort; when not driving carpools she served on the boards of the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation and Excellence in Education. She has also been a member of ACAT for five years. She enjoys hiking with her dogs, reading, cooking, gardening, and riding her horses.
