Elevate your mountain flying ability while mastering safe and quiet operations at the Truckee Tahoe Airport.  This course is put on by Mountain Lion Aviation and is free to local KTRK Cirrus owners and pilots. TTAD has the exterior of Alpha and Bravo Hangar rows scheduled for painting starting on Monday, July 29 through mid-August.  Easterbrook Painting is the contractor on the ~$45,000 project.  Hangar access restrictions to tenants will be minimal.  Do not leave vehicles or aircraft outside of impacted hangars during active painting.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District and MidWest Air Traffic Control warmly welcome Robert as the newest year-round addition to the air traffic control team, following the retirement of Rhonda Legge.  Robert brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for air traffic control, cultivated during his time in the Air Force where he initially served as an explosives canine handler before transitioning to ATC. June 21 Update: Congratulations team Tahoe Turbulence for taking 2nd place in ARC!! Sarah Krammen and Raj Karwa, both seasoned pilots, are gearing up to participate in the Air Race Classic (ARC) from June 18 - 21, 2024. The duo, flying under the team name Tahoe Turbulence, will navigate a 2,600-mile route covering nine states, starting from Carbondale, Illinois, and ending in Colorado. The ARC, a storied event in women’s aviation, brings together over 100 female pilots to test their skills and strategy in a competitive yet collaborative environment. Click post heading for more info.
