ATTENTION PILOTS: KTRK OVERNIGHT CLOSURE
Truckee Tahoe Airport (KTRK) will be closed Thursday, September 17, from 7:00 PM through 7:00 AM Friday morning, except for firefighting and emergency operations.
The temporary overnight closure is being implemented to maintain the highest level of safety while extensive firefighting aircraft, personnel, maintenance crews, equipment, and vehicles are staged at the airport in support of the Floriston Fire.
Pilots operating at KTRK during the day Thursday should use extreme caution and expect transient parking to be located near the Tower.
Alpha Taxiway is closed from the Runway 11 run-up area through Foxtrot until further notice.
Pilots should monitor current NOTAMs for the latest airport closures, restrictions, and operational information.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as firefighting crews continue their work from KTRK.
