The next monthly meeting of the Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors is in-person only (No Zoom), at 4:30 pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. This will be the last meeting of the Airport Board in 2024, and is the final meeting for retiring Board President Rick Stephens.  We thank Rick for his years of dedicated public service! The public is invited to attend. Most do a good job of maintaining their runways and infrastructure, which serves pilots well, but that doesn’t make them trailblazers. You are invited to join us for a Veterans Day, and United States Marine Corps' Birthday celebration mixer, 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Airport Terminal Community Room, 10356 Truckee Airport Rd. TTAD General Manager, Robb Etnyre, USMC Ret, and airport staff, will host fellow veterans to honor the proud services of our men and women in uniform. 

A 75 acre fuels reduction prescribed burn is scheduled on airport owned Waddle Ranch property in Martis Valley.  Cal Fire will be managing the burn (weather conditions permitting), on November 7-8, (and possibly the 9th) 2024. Access to trails will be closed to the public during the burn. TTAD is removing a number of trees near the Truckee ball field and bike park (Joerger Dr.) on airport property for aviation safety.  The Aeronautics Division of Caltrans found during a recent KTRK airfield inspection that some trees were inside FAA 14 CFR Part 77 airspace, (in the departure and arrival flight paths of Runway 11-29).  Wilderness Forestry has been hired to remove the involved trees.
