New Pilot Member of ACAT

David Diamond is a full-time resident of Truckee’s Prosser Lakeview Estates, and the owner of an aircraft based at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. He is a private pilot, author, musician and former director of global marketing and education in the Technology sector. 

Diamond was a founding member of the 80s band, Berlin, with whom he continues to play today. His published titles include Flight Training: Taking the Short ApproachDAM Survival Guide and Metadata for Content Management. He has done 3D aviation illustrations and animations for AOPA Pilot and Flight Training magazines, King Schools and ASA. He is currently a freelance contributor to FLYING magazine.

The Airport Community Advisory Team (ACAT), founded in 2005, works to develop solutions and strategies to minimize impacts of the airport on surrounding communities. Additionally, the ACAT works to generate ideas around garnering public benefits from the District. ACAT is comprised of six community volunteers dedicated to serving both the local community and the airport, and finding win-win solutions wherever possible. Recommendations from ACAT go directly to the Board on a monthly basis.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District's ACAT members typically meet in the Airport Terminal building, Board Room-A on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:15 a.m.
