Youth Balloon Camp

Another community event hosted by your Truckee Tahoe Airport District.

The Balloon Federation of America (BFA) is holding a Junior Balloonist Camp at KTRK from June 23-28, 2019.

All you early risers may have seen the skies of Truckee dotted this morning with six colorful hot air balloons. The camp is a unique five day, hands on immersive education program for 13-17 year olds who want to learn about the sport of hot air ballooning. (Photos by: Mark Covey and Marc Lamb)
