Aircraft Wash Rack Coming 2020

Summer is coming and its time to wash that winter grime off your aircraft!

The FAA (thru AIP funding), and your Truckee Tahoe Airport are putting $5,000,000 into infrastructure improvement projects around the airfield this summer.

One of the four main projects is the AIRCRAFT WASH RACK.

Project Start Date: Monday, May 4, 2020 Project Cost: $365,625. (FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) and Truckee Tahoe Airport funds will be used to complete this project.)
Project General Contractor: Meyers Earthwork, Inc.
Project Estimated Completion Date: Friday, June 26, 2020 (eight week construction schedule) Project Description: The project entails building an aircraft wash rack area with a runoff collection system. The wash rack will be located on the southeast side of the 100LL Self Serve fuel island.
Construction Impacted Areas: - South east corner of the 100LL self serve fuel island, with construction vehicle traffic around the airfield fire gate south of the fuel island, and on Chandelle Way.
