DEBRA NICHOLSON CRAIG

It is with deep sadness and sympathy that we report the passing of Debra Nicholson Craig.

Debra's plane crashed Sunday morning (9/27) at around 7 a.m. after departing the Santa Barbara airport on a planned solo return flight to Truckee.

Debra (61) was a local pilot who owned a Cessna 182 Skylane, which she hangared at Truckee Tahoe Airport. She was a mother of two sons, a long time Lake Tahoe area resident, and attorney who had just retired from a specialized career in estate planning.

Debra had recently been appointed to the Truckee Tahoe Airport's "Airport Community Advisory Team" (ACAT). The airport Board of Directors, fellow ACAT members and staff had been looking forward to working with Debra, and will have her, and her family in our hearts and thoughts.

Heartfelt condolences go out to Debra's family and friends.
