N5901G Rental Rate Increase

In January 2019, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD) purchased a new Cessna Turbo-Diesel JT-A C-172 "N5901G" and put it under a management contract with on-field based operator Sierra Aero/Mountain Lion Aviation (Aircraft Rentals, Flight School, Maintenance and Charter Flights).

The new plane is used locally in place of an older, louder rental 100 LL burning C-172 that was retired.  N5901G has a proven track record of being quieter (generates fewer noise comments) and reduces community annoyance from touch and go flight operations.

To cover increasing maintenance and overhead costs, effective January 01, 2021, the aircraft's rental rate will increase from $150/hour wet to $170/hour wet for District residents, and to $200/hour wet for Non-District residents.
