There is a worldwide shortage of aircraft pilots. The Reno Area Chapter of the Ninety-Nines is offering scholarships to get women interested in aviation, not only as a passion, but also as a viable career path! Applications are due by March 7, 2022. For more info please visit: www.ninety-nines.org

AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS FOR WOMEN
PRIVATE, ADVANCED, RECURRENCY, DRONE

Private Certificate – $2, 000
(Must hold a valid student pilot certificate and have completed first solo or have passed the written exam and proof it is current prior to application.)

Advanced Rating – $1, 500
(Must hold a valid private pilot certificate and current medical or equivalent and have a minimum of five hours logged with an instructor towards the rating being sought, if applicable.)

Re-Currency – $500
(Must hold a valid private pilot certificate and current medical. May use the award for flying, i.e., flight review or written testing.)

Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) – $500
(Must be at least 14 years of age.)

Applications must be received by March 7, 2022.

Interviews will be held on March 19, 2022, at Atlantic Aviation at Reno-Tahoe International Airport

To qualify for any scholarship you must:
➢ Currently reside within 99 statute miles of Reno to the west, north, and south, or to the border east of Reno,
➢ Have lived in the area for at least one year,
➢ Must be able to attend interview.
