Soar Truckee Opens For Summer 2015

Soar Truckee, located on the north-east side of the Truckee Tahoe Airport field, near scenic Lake Tahoe, California, is nestled in a valley of the Sierra Mountains, just three miles south of Interstate 80, at an elevation of 5,900'.

Staffed by experts in the sport of soaring, they offer glider rides over spectacular scenery. The knowledgeable and friendly staff provide instruction, aero-tow, and other services for the soaring community. Soar Truckee also offers an on-site bunkhouse, shower, flush toilets and both on-site and adjacent camping facilities.

The historical old railway town of Truckee, and the Northstar-at-Tahoe resort are both nearby. Donner Lake and Lake Tahoe are within easy driving distance, and these areas provide a perfect family summer vacation site.

They're located just off State Route 267 at the very end of Martis Creek Dam Road.
