Hangar Rent Discount Incentive Changes

Good Afternoon KTRK Hangar Tenants,

We are requesting hangar tenant feedback on proposed changes to the Fly Quiet and Home Based hangar rental rate discount incentive programs. Please respond by 5PM., Friday, June 24, 2022.

In April 2022, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors, with support and direction from staff, discussed modifications to the voluntary curfew structure. As aeronautical and aviation tenants, it is important for us to receive your feedback regarding not only the current programs, but also the proposed changes discussed by the Board of Directors. The following is a summary of proposed program changes:

The KTRK voluntary flight operation curfew is 10PM to 7AM. Hangar tenants may opt to select this proposed new $0.04/square foot/month hangar rental rate discount incentive. In doing so no flight activity shall take place after 10PM or before 7AM.
The existing Fly Quiet (FQ) 1 and 2 programs will remain unchanged, with each providing a $0.02/square foot/month rental rate discount incentive, provided no flight activity takes place between 11PM and 6AM and 10:30PM and 6:30AM respectively.
In adding a third layer to the Fly Quiet program, the modifications as currently presented, proposes repealing the Homebase Incentive which currently offers a $0.04/square foot/month rental rate discount incentive for those tenants that declare KTRK as the homebase for that aircraft on the lease documentation.

The Board of Directors will receive a presentation on July 27, 2022 summarizing the feedback and comments from the aeronautical and airfield user community.

Potential changes or modifications to the current programs could go into effect starting September 1, 2022.
