Noise Comparison Test Flight Schedules For Wednesday 6/24/2015

Hello Everyone, The Truckee Tahoe Airport (TRK) is conducting a noise comparison test and is asking for community input. A modified RedHawk Diesel (Jet A) burning C-172 will be flying on Wednesday, June 24th in noise comparison flights, against one of TRK's heavily used older model 100LL burning C-172's. The aircraft will be flying in and around the airport area, and in typical airport arrival and departure flight patterns. We are asking for neighborhood noise reports from these Truckee Area overhead flights. HMMH an Aviation consulting firm will also be measuring the noise (decibel) levels from various locations with sophisticated noise measuring equipment. The airport is looking at the possibility of replacing the heavily used older C-172 (N1968F) with this newer potentially quieter RedHawk modified C-172 if tests confirm this status.
