New ATC Controller

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District and MidWest Air Traffic Control warmly welcome Robert as the newest year-round addition to the air traffic control team, following the retirement of Rhonda Legge.

Robert brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for air traffic control, cultivated during his time in the Air Force where he initially served as an explosives canine handler before transitioning to ATC. With four years of dedicated service in air traffic control, Robert joins the exceptional crew at KTRK, eager to contribute and learn from his fellow controllers.

Originally from Los Angeles, Robert, alongside his wife Maria and their two children, are excited to immerse themselves in the community and explore the beauty of the Sierra. They are especially looking forward to experiencing snow for the first time.

Welcome aboard, Robert! Here’s to a successful career ahead, both in the tower, and enjoying all that the Sierra has to offer.
