TTAD is removing a number of trees near the Truckee ball field and bike park (Joeger Dr.) on airport property for aviation safety. The Aeronautics Division of Caltrans found during a recent KTRK airfield inspection that some trees were inside FAA 14 CFR Part 77 airspace, (in the departure and arrival flight paths of Runway 11-29). Wilderness Forestry has been hired to remove the involved trees.
