Welcome Katie New Pilot Outreach Coordinator

Welcome Katherine Greenwood!
Katherine who goes by "Katie" was hired this summer by KTRK as our new "Pilot & Passenger Outreach Coordinator". The main purpose of this position is to ensure that pilots, (both private and professional) using the Truckee Tahoe Airport are informed and aware of KTRK's requested Noise Abatement Procedures and know that their flight patterns do impact our local community. Katie's outgoing personality and aeronautical knowledge make her a great point-contact for general airport information and a perfect fit for the job!
Katie is a licensed Private Pilot and is currently working on her FAA Instrument rating. She is very involved in the local aviation community. Ms Greenwood is the President of the High Sierra Chapter of the 99's (International Organization of Women Pilots) and is an officer in the Reno Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron. Katie also sits as a Board member of the Reno-Tahoe Aviation Group. RTAG is similar to The Truckee Tahoe Airport's Community Advisory Team known as "ACAT".
