TAHOE CITY EMS HELIPAD
The Truckee Tahoe Airport District is constructing an emergency services helipad in Tahoe City off Fairway Drive, near the west end of the golf course. The $550,000 project is expected to be completed by early December 2017. The helipad is for EMS use only, think medivac, fire, police and disaster relief. The helipad will not be available for private or commercial operations. The District is considering additional EMS helipad options in the Tahoe Basin (Homewood, Kings Beach) and on the Sierra Crest near Donner Summit. Click arrow to view pics.
