AVCOM Manager earns AAAE C.M. Certification

Dec 18, 2018

Congratulations go out to KTRK's Aviation & Community Services Manager Marc Lamb!

Mr. Lamb was awarded a full-ride scholarship to attend the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) Loretta Scott Academy, in Denver, Colorado. The course focused on the AAAE Certified Member (C.M.) accreditation. Marc passed the final 180 question - 3 hour examination certification process with flying colors.

AAAE is a Washington D.C. based professional organization representing airports and aviation communities across the U.S., and the industry in general on Capitol Hill. The organization was founded in 1928 and has approximately 6,500 members.

Born in Germany, Marc got his Pilot’s License at 18 and after graduating from UNLV moved to Lake Tahoe. He then worked in the ski industry (Squaw Valley) for 20 years, before coming full circle back to aviation.

Marc started at the Truckee Tahoe Airport District in 2012 in Ops and Maintenance and is currently the Public Relations Manager in the AVCOM Department representing KTRK.

When not at the airfield, Marc can be found mountain biking or skiing the trails around our area, or sailing on Lake Tahoe.

We're happy to have Marc on our team, and wish him all the best in his continued career serving the Airport District and our local community.
