Busy Labor Day Weekend

As we all know, Labor Day weekend is the last busy summer holiday of the season. Typically, our area sees lots of locals, 2nd homeowners and tourists out and about enjoying Tahoe and our beautiful Sierra mountain environment and supporting our local economy!
Like other transportation systems in the region, the airport is busy. There was an eclectic mix of over 50 aircraft on the ramp this morning and more scheduled to ferry folks in and out of town. Included in the mix is a USFS contracted Heli-tack wildfire fighting team on standby at the airport.
Local residents should expect to see and hear higher than usual air traffic, including into next weekend as folks from hotter areas extend the holiday and escape the heat.
