The Truckee Tahoe Airport was closed for approximately one hour (1-2pm local) on Sunday afternoon August 6th when a C-210 experienced a collapsed nose landing gear while landing on Runway 29. Airport Ops & Maintenance staff was able to lock the landing gear back into place and towed the aircraft to Sierra Aero for service. There were no reported injuries. The airport's shorter runway 02/20 is closed this summer for reconstruction through late October, thus the reason for full airport shutdown when Runway 29 was obstructed.
