RWY 2-20 Reconstruction Update

The reconstruction of Truckee Tahoe Airport's Runway 2/20 (same footprint at 4,650' x 75') is coming along with the first layers of asphalt going down this week. The $6.3M project is an FAA funded AIP Airport Improvement Project. The runway has been closed since July 24th and is scheduled to reopen mid November. All air traffic since the start of construction has been on the airport's main Runway 11/29. Mercer-Fraser Co. has been the contractor on the project. (Photos by: Marc Lamb)
