EAA Awards 2 Scholarships

Aug 31, 2015

EAA 1073 is proud to have awarded two scholarships for local Young Eagles to attend the the 2015 EAA Air Academy at Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The Air Academy operates three separate camps for age groups 12-13, 14-15, and 16-18. All attendees must be Young Eagles. Campers are engaged through a variety of hands-on activities while staying at the EAA Air Academy Lodge. Experienced aviation instructors help them delve into flight through studies, hands-on demonstrations, flight simulation, and other exciting activities, including Young Eagle flights in an airplane and in a helicopter.

Recognized by MSN Money as one of 10 summer camps “worth the money,” Air Academy provides the foundation for a lifelong love of aviation.

EAA 1073 is planning to award three scholarships in 2016. Application information may be obtained by contacting: yecoord1073@outlook.com. Eligibility started with the Young Eagle flights after the very successful 2015 Truckee Tahoe Family Festival, and applications must be postmarked or emailed no later than February 28, 2016. Winners will be notified by March 31.
