TTAD Partnering in Regional Wildfire Mitigation

Starting in 2024, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District is helping to fund $2M in shovel ready wildfire mitigation projects. This sizeable contribution to regional fire mitigation work aligns with the TTAD mission to protect the environment, increase community safety, and provide sustained benefit to the entire Truckee Tahoe region. TTAD joined forces with four regional fire districts and Cal Fire in the planned treatment of over 700 acres of forest within TTAD boundaries.
