The Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors will hold their regular monthly meeting at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.  The meeting will be in hybrid format, (in-person, or online via Zoom).  The public is invited to join and participate. Truckee CA- The Climate Transformation Alliance (CTA) launched on July 15, 2022, with a Kickoff Gathering at Truckee Tahoe Airport.  The CTA is a regional public-private partnership of local governments, special districts, community organizations, businesses, and individuals committed to collaboration, innovation, and accountability through a governing body and shared vision for the North Tahoe-Truckee community to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045. As we all know, Labor Day weekend is the last busy summer holiday of the season. Typically, our area sees lots of locals, 2nd homeowners and tourists out and about enjoying Tahoe and our beautiful Sierra mountain environment and supporting our local economy! The Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors has negotiated a contract and hired interim General Manager Robb Etnyre with a full-time three year contract effective Sept 1, 2022 through Dec 31, 2025.  The airport Board and staff welcome Robb "aboard", and look forward to working under his new leadership. Two Truckee Tahoe Airport Air Traffic Controllers that work for Midwest ATC were recently recognized and awarded for their excellence in the Western Pacific Region!  Larry Finney was awarded the Air Traffic Control Tower Manager of the Year!  Todd Domini was awarded the Air Traffic Controller of the Year!
