A vegetation wildfire is currently active north of KTRK near the TTSA plant.  The airport is CLOSED to clear air space for firefighting efforts.  Air tankers and helicopters are overhead dropping fire retardant.  Temporary evacuation orders are in place for areas in red as of noon Thurs 7/7/22, which do not include the airport. Airport staff will review the need for continued airport closure at 14:30 local.  Click post heading for pictures. Thank you to all the firefighting responders, pilots and airport staff for their quick and efficient response! Truckee PD has a woman in custody suspected of starting the fires.
