On Monday, May 2^nd, 2022 in Buffalo New York, The International Aviation Snow Symposium (I.A.S.S) recognized recipients for the prestigious Balchen/Post Award.  Truckee Tahoe Airport District was recognized as the award winner for the Small General Aviation GA (less than 50,000 operations per year) category across North America!

We want to hear from you! The Airport District is updating its 2015 - 2025 Master Plan.  The second of two scheduled public outreach meetings will be held at the airport (in-person) on Tues. 5/3  from 5:30 - 8 pm (stop by anytime). You can learn about proposed new flight procedures and the ongoing analysis of a potential third runway. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions of subject-matter experts and provide your feedback on these projects and more. Click post heading for more info.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District would like to extend a warm “welcome aboard” to Robb Etnyre, the District’s interim general manager!  Robb started today and is taking the lead from Kevin Smith, who after 12 great years as TTAD’s GM has taken a job with aviation consulting firm Mead & Hunt. Walk into the Truckee Tahoe Airport’s main terminal building and you’ll immediately notice the captivating, eclectic and inspiring artwork hanging on its walls.  “Art At The Airport”, is a program developed by artist and Truckee resident Carole Sesko to showcase amazing local artistic talent. The Spring-Summer Art Show (April 19, 2022 - July 18, 2022) includes works by local artists Kimbo Franke, Blake Kessler and Tracy A. Kimmons.
