The Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors will hold their next board meetings on Wednesday, October 25, 2023.
- The 2024 Budget Workshop (#2) will be from 1:00-3:00 pm
- The Regular Monthly Board meeting starts at 4:30 pm

The reconstruction of Truckee Tahoe Airport's Runway 2/20 (same footprint at 4,650' x 75') is coming along with the first layers of asphalt going down this week. The $6.3M project is an FAA funded AIP Airport Improvement Project. The runway has been closed since July 24th and is scheduled to reopen mid November. All air traffic since the start of construction has been on the airport's main Runway 11/29. Mercer-Fraser Co. has been the contractor on the project.Click post heading for photos.

Your Truckee Tahoe Airport District launched a new ParkMobile app-based parking program with different zones and rates for overnight and monthly vehicle parking at KTRK.  The program began Monday, August 21, 2023.  Day use parking remains free. Click post heading for more info.

Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD), one of only nine "Special Airport Districts" in California, received the District Transparency Certificate of Excellence by the Special District Leadership Foundation (SDLF) in recognition of its outstanding efforts to promote transparency and good governance. Air Traffic Control Tower seasonal hours of operation change Fall / Winter 07:00-18:00 local (shortened hours) begins Sunday, October 1, 2023.  After hours Tower Frequency 120.575 reverts to CTAF.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District has a issued a Request For Proposals (RFP) for interested parties to manage it's "Art at the Airport" program. Sealed submittals are due by 5:00 pm Friday, November 17, 2023.
