    AIRCRAFT INCIDENT AT KTRK

    AIRFIELD CLOSED UNTIL 07:00 AM LOCAL 7.27.2021

    Heavy law enforcement, fire, and utility personnel in the area of Reynold Way, Truckee, CA. Initial call received at 1:20 p.m. for a plane crash. The Twin Turbo Jet CHALLENGER 605 aircraft was on approach for landing on Runway 11 at  the Truckee-Tahoe Airport when it impacted heavily treed terrain adjacent to the Truckee-Tahoe Airport along Reynold Way. No structures or persons on the ground were impacted or harmed in the crash. The number of passengers and crew on board is undetermined at this time. Authorities are working with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aircraft pictured is of a similar type.
