Lets work together to reduce our CO2 footprint!  Your Truckee Tahoe Airport District has been developing a Green House Gas Reduction program.  The initiatives include not only the many ways the District is attempting to reduce its own carbon footprint, but also our efforts at disseminating CO2 reduction information to flight crews and their passengers. Your Truckee Tahoe Airport is open for aviation services and fully supports the State of California, and our local governments in their COVID-19 policy directives. As an essential business, the Airport Terminal building is open to the public, but please practice social distancing and do not congregate in groups.  Masks are required to be worn when inside the terminal building. The Red Truck Café is open for carry out and outside dining only. As we continue to monitor the pandemic, we wanted to share with you the precautions and operational modifications we are making to assure our number-one priority, the health and safety of our staff, customers, and constituents. To cover increasing maintenance and overhead costs, effective January 01, 2021, TTAD's rental aircraft rate will increase from $150/hour wet to $170/hour wet for District residents, and to $200/hour wet for Non-District residents. Click post heading for more information.

The Truckee Tahoe Airport District (TTAD), which manages the Truckee Tahoe Airport (KTRK), is pleased to announce the successful deployment of its Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) system. The system was designed and implemented through a private-public partnership with L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) and will immediately begin providing highly accurate, real-time surveillance data for aircraft in the Truckee Tahoe region. Thanks to everyone that came to the community Halloween Trunk or Treat and Drive-In Movie event, and to all those that volunteered their time and services! We had a phenomenal turn out with almost 1,000 cars going through the Trunk or Treat line. Click post heading for more info and pics!

Walk into the Truckee Tahoe Airport’s main terminal building, and you’ll immediately notice the captivating, eclectic and inspiring artwork hanging on its walls.  “Art At The Airport”, a program that started with the grand opening of the terminal building in the winter-spring of 2012, was developed by local Truckee resident and artist, Carole Sesko. Congratulations are in order for Kathryn "Kat" Rohlf, the Truckee Tahoe Airport District's newest Board Member.  Kathryn was appointed as a Board Director at the Airport District's Special Board meeting on 10/13/2020 to fill Jim Morrison's vacated position.  Five candidates had applied for the position. Kat had been an Airport Community Advisory Team (ACAT) member for almost two terms.  The Airport Board of Directors and Staff welcome Kat to the Board, and also thank the other candidates who applied for this volunteer position to make a difference in our community.  Click post heading to learn more about Kat.
