    Congrats Class of 2021

    "Project Graduation" kicked off their surprise safe and sober graduation festivities at the Truckee Tahoe Airport with just over 100 local Truckee High School 2021 graduates enjoying music, dancing, airplane fly overs and a fireworks show!  After the fireworks the graduates headed to the Riverview Sports Park for more fun night-long celebrations!     ACT NOW!

    You're invited!  Join our Airport Community Team.     KTRK's summer air traffic control tower hours have been extended 06/01/2021 - 09/30/2021,  07:00 - 20:00 local.
    TOWER/CTAF: 120.575 Mhz / AWOS: 118.0 Mhz / UNICOM-FBO: 122.95 Mhz / GROUND: 118.3 (when Tower is in operation) / Oakland Center: 127.95 Mhz

    Aircraft non-Injury Incident reported at KTRK, Date: 5.12.2021, Time: 1:55 p.m., Aircraft: Single Engine TECNAM P2010, Pilot: 1, Passenger: 1, Runway: 20, Accident occurred on landing, Fire & Law Enforcement response teams have been released, Runway 2-20 remains closed as of 2:30 p.m., Runway 11-29 is open, FAA and NTSB have been notified.     TRWC and TTAD ECO-Partnership East Martis Creek

    When you spend time hiking and biking in the Truckee Tahoe area, you will certainly cross plenty of dirt roads. Many help us access backcountry areas for recreation, fire safety management, or planned logging. Others are just left over from past uses and they are causing environmental problems.  The Truckee River Watershed Council and your Truckee Tahoe Airport have partnered in a Waddle Ranch environmental restoration project for 2021 at East Martis Creek.  Click post heading for the full story.

    C.A.P. Change of Command

    Congratulations go out to Lt. Col.     Art at the Airport

    Walk into the Truckee Tahoe Airport’s main terminal building and you’ll immediately notice the captivating, eclectic and inspiring artwork hanging on its walls.  “Art At The Airport”, is a program developed by artist and Truckee resident Carole Sesko to showcase amazing local artistic talent. The Spring-Summer Art Show (April 20 - July 19, 2021) includes works by local artists Troy Corliss, Hope Sabrina Huber, Eva S. Nichols and Carole Sesko.     Hangar Door Momentary Safety Switches

    The Airport District Board of Directors adopted Policy Instruction #512 Hangar Door Momentary Safety Switch Operations. The policy addresses the operation and safety requirements for the proper opening and closing of hangar doors owned by the Airport District.
