The Truckee Tahoe Airport District Board of Directors is proud to announce that they have opened the Agency Partnership program for 2022.  The Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation will be managing the application and administrative side of this popular community benefit program. TTAD and its Board will still have final say in any and all agency partnership or non-profit funding support. We encourage all local pilots to join us on March 30th as TTAD kicks off the new TRK Pilots Group! This new innovative program will incentivize pilots who regularly use the airport to stay current on the latest training, flight procedures, and good neighbor strategies.  Members receive an annual $250 flight training instruction credit. This past week the Airborne Snow Observatory (a lidar camera equipped King Air 90) has been based out of your Truckee Tahoe Airport as it conducts snow surveys in the Northern Sierra. The plane flies back and forth on a grid, getting snow-coverage data every 3 square meters. Click post heading for the full story and pictures.
