    AIRCRAFT INCIDENT - Press Release

    At approximately 10:46 AM, a single engine Cirrus SR20, FAA identification number N89423, crashed 1.16 nautical miles south of the airport near Lahontan, Placer County, California. Two occupants were aboard the aircraft at the time of the incident. One pilot was fatally injured and died at the scene. The other pilot occupant was transported approximately 10 minutes after the incident by EMS helicopter to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, Nevada and was reported to be in stable condition.     Congrats Class of 2021

    "Project Graduation" kicked off their surprise safe and sober graduation festivities at the Truckee Tahoe Airport with just over 100 local Truckee High School 2021 graduates enjoying music, dancing, airplane fly overs and a fireworks show!  After the fireworks the graduates headed to the Riverview Sports Park for more fun night-long celebrations!     KTRK's summer air traffic control tower hours have been extended 06/01/2021 - 09/30/2021,  07:00 - 20:00 local.
    TOWER/CTAF: 120.575 Mhz / AWOS: 118.0 Mhz / UNICOM-FBO: 122.95 Mhz / GROUND: 118.3 (when Tower is in operation) / Oakland Center: 127.95 Mhz

    TRWC and TTAD ECO-Partnership East Martis Creek

    When you spend time hiking and biking in the Truckee Tahoe area, you will certainly cross plenty of dirt roads. Many help us access backcountry areas for recreation, fire safety management, or planned logging.     C.A.P. Change of Command

    Congratulations go out to Lt. Col.
