    TTAD Supports Workforce Housing

    Four local founding member agencies: Tahoe Forest Hospital District, Tahoe Truckee Unified School District, Truckee Donner Public Utility District, and the Truckee Tahoe Airport District have formed a Joint Powers Agency known today at the Truckee Tahoe Workforce Housing Agency (TTWHA), to ensure that nearly 2,000 essential workers that they represent; teachers, nurses, doctors, airport personnel, lineman, janitors, administrators and beyond can continue to be able to live where they work.  Click post heading for more info.

    Emergency Landing Guide

    The Airport Community Advisory Team (ACAT) and KTRK Staff recently partnered to create an emergency landing map that depicts flat, fairly unobstructed areas to land, if a forced landing was required.     Long Lines/Waits for Tahoe Boat Inspections

    Your Truckee Tahoe Airport donates community space on its airfield facilities to the TRPA for its mandated invasive species boat inspections.  The week prior to the 4th of July holiday saw over half mile long lines and all day waits, with over 70 boats in line on Wednesday morning at 8 am, July 1, 2020.  Inspection station staff say that they average 30 minutes per vessel.     July 4th D-Day Squadron Honor Flyover

    Truckee-Tahoe 4th of July Honor Flyover in celebration of our Nation's Independence and Front-line COVID workers!  Local Truckee resident and Army veteran Jessie: " We were kayaking at Donner Lake and I looked up and saw multiple WWII era C-47's banking over the lake and it brought tears to my eyes and filled my heart with pride! Thank you Truckee Tahoe Airport for putting on this 4th of July event".  Thanks also go out to the Truckee Tahoe Air Show team and the D-Day Squadron, its pilots and support crew!

    Airport Road Sidewalk Project Notice Inviting Bids.

    A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 to review the Project's existing conditions at the Truckee Tahoe Airport. All bidders should meet outside of the Administration Building in order to maintain social distancing.
